Syncretic Bio-Shelters is an Artistic Residency program within the "Terre Immerse - Euro-Mediterranean Creative Communities" program, promoted by the Matera Basilicata 2019 Foundation for Matera 2026, Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue, in collaboration with the Municipality of Matera. The program is funded by the Ministry of Tourism and the Basilicata Region.
Come and discover the low-tech wearables and clothing designed and co-created by the artists and collaborators of the "Syncretic Bio-Shelters" artistic residency program, designed to adapt to the climate crisis by blending Euro-Mediterranean textile traditions.
These pieces will be worn by classes 3A, 4A, and 5A from the IIS Turi-Morra in Matera, as well as representatives of the local community who participated in the creative process.
