Description
Double bassist, singer, and composer Louise Knobil invites you to immerse yourself in her world, where jazz, punk, glitter, and French chanson blend with a vibrant and bold energy.
Inspired by iconic figures such as Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus, and Boris Vian, this rising star of Swiss jazz transforms her personal diary into a unique musical adventure. Polyamory, chronic insomnia, and pesto recipes coexist in compositions that are at once personal and universal.
Her irreverent melodies, blending double bass and voice, gain intensity thanks to the talent of her faithful "knodisciples": Chloé Marsigny on bass clarinet and effects, and Vincent Andreae on drums.
Having performed around a hundred concerts since January 2024, KNOBIL has performed in several prestigious venues such as: Jazz à Vienne 2025, Studio de l'Ermitage 2024, Montreux Jazz 2024, Cully Jazz 2025, Studio 104 France Musique 2025.
