Percorsi d'arte e natura nel Parco della Murgia: La Chiesa di Cristo la Selva
Organized by FAI - Casa Noha

Description
The trail winds along ancient sheep tracks within the protected area, crossing a landscape of extraordinary beauty where lush Mediterranean scrub envelops the path and preserves the silence, scents, and colors typical of this unique environment. The route leads to the evocative rock church of Cristo Crocifisso in the La Selva district: the crypt, owned by the Passarelli family, emerges from the rocky wall of the Murgia ridge with a Romanesque façade, perfectly integrated into the natural setting. In this context, nature is not simply a backdrop, but an essential part of the experience, a living element that interacts with the history and rock architecture, making the trail a unique opportunity to rediscover the value of the landscape and its fundamental role in the memory of the area.
