With NINA CANTA NEI TEATRI D’ESTATE (Nina Canta in the Summer Theaters), Angelina Mango will once again invite audiences to relive her songs in an intimate atmosphere of sharing. This will take place in locations where music, art, and nature come together, creating unique and evocative performances including amphitheaters, open-air theaters, castles, parade grounds, and a quarry.
The summer tour marks the continuation of the journey begun with NINA CANTA NEI TEATRI (Nina Canta in the Theaters), which concludes this evening at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan. The twelve dates, which sold out in a flash, confirmed Angelina's deep connection with her audience, who welcomed her with warmth and participation. The show was a natural extension of the album caramé: an "intimate and musical" journey, unfiltered, immersing audiences in the creative process that gave birth to her songs, almost as if they were ideally sitting next to her in the studio or at home. Angelina was joined by seven musicians who accompanied her in rewriting the language of pop.
At the conclusion of the NINA CANTA NEI TEATRI tour, Angelina Mango surprisingly released four rearranged tracks: "Melodrama - Caramé Live Version," "La Noia - Caramé Live Version," "Che T'o' Dico a Fa" - Caramé Live Version," and "Smile - Caramé Live Version." These tracks, recorded during dress rehearsals for the NINA CANTA NEI TEATRI tour, were added to the album, "Caramé."
These four tracks represent a fundamental part of Angelina Mango's journey and are brought to life in a new guise, where every sound is born from the artist's hands: Angelina personally rearranged the songs, adapting them to the theatrical dimension of the show and perfectly matching the sound of her latest album, "Caramé." With these tracks, the artist offers the opportunity to relive the emotions and atmosphere of the tour, capturing the intimacy and authenticity of a live performance capable of creating a direct connection with the audience. The album caramé—surprise release in October—came out a year and a half after poké melodrama, the singer-songwriter's debut album, released on May 31, 2024. The title also features the album's opening words: the opening of an intimate letter that transforms into an introduction, ushering in this journey of sincerity and creativity. And the "me" in the title also refers to Angelina, who wrote and produced all the album's songs, often supported by her brother Filippo.
Giovanni Pallotti also produced alongside her. The album also features close friends and other artists, such as Madame, Calcutta, Dardust, Mr. Monkey, and Henna, who perfectly understood the meaning of this work.
