Description

The initiative's goal is to encourage everyone, from children to adults, to try their hand at writing, highlighting skills that are often undervalued, if not ignored, and broadening the audience of participants as much as possible. Piergiorgio Pulixi (Cagliari, 1982) is a member of the Sabot writing collective, founded by Massimo Carlotto, of whom he is a student. He is considered one of the leading exponents of noir fiction in Europe. His books are published in twelve countries and have received numerous national and international awards. Among his best-known novels: The Night of the Panthers (Edizioni e/o, 2014), winner of the 2015 Glauco Felici Prize, The Song of the Innocents (Edizioni e/o, 2015), winner of the 2015 Franco Fedeli Prize, the first book in the thriller series I canti del male, and The Island of Souls, winner of the 2019 Scerbanenco Prize. His thriller The Black Cats' Library (Marsilio, 2023) was a literary success. In 2024, The Woman in the Well (Feltrinelli) was published, and The Crow's Nest (2026) was also published by the same publishing house. Some of his short stories have been published in «Manifesto», «Left», «Micromega», «Svolgimento» and in various anthologies.
