Fra i Sassi Residence is a hospitality property established in 2007 to offer well-being, quality, and comfort in the Sassi of Matera. It is a unique accommodation facility, able to provide a wide and diverse range of options tailored to the needs of its guests. Quality of the accommodations and accessibility are the elements shared by all our lodging solutions: suites, comfort rooms, and beds in the small hostel, as well as an entire “vicinato” (traditional courtyard area), located close to the Gravina on the Barisano side. Ancient houses/caves with unique architectural features, carved into the stone and equipped with exclusive services. Since 2022, the residence has expanded by connecting spaces and rooms of the Hotel Ai Terrazzini through Ecoverticale, an ambitious project of diffused hospitality that offers the possibility to host guests, create events, and transform the “vicinati” into places of culture.
